Mission Statement:

  

Inviting diverse voices and perspectives, JALE promotes new and emerging understandings of how values and ethics guide authentic educational leadership. Engaging in practices of inclusivity, empathy, and transparency, we ask scholars and practitioners to deconstruct policies, practices, and procedures that perpetuate inequities and reconstruct frameworks that promote justice in education.

Vision:

The Journal of Authentic Leadership in Education promotes and disseminates a broad range of scholarly inquiry relating to the areas of values and ethics, and their relationship to theory and practice in authentic leadership in education.

Belief Statements:

  • We believe that DIVERSITY in topics, people, voices, perspectives, and ideas is critical when practicing inquiry.

  • We believe that JUSTICE is a foundational component when considering issues of equity and ethics in education. 

  • We believe that EMPATHY allows us to listen and learn so we may better serve our communities.
